Ok dudes.
I have a very tenuous link to good old Cortes the genocide specialist.
My compatibility may make one chuckle.

perhaps?
Cortes invaded Central America, home of a very few catfishes. On the atlantic side one only finds Rhamdia. R guelen is the largest, and it wil leat anything which fits its mouth
compatible with cichlids - not a word which is cheered on this forum, apparently

Good but it's the wrong answer.
Think more along the lines of why he went there.

He went for gold, aureum in Latin, I think
But Cortes didn't go to Colombia, where
comes from, did he?

Nope.
Next clue.
Sera had been working hard all day, cleaning cooking and looking after the baby, waiting for her husband to come home. She was tired out, looking after the baby was tiring enough without all the other housework. Soon her husband would be home from work and they could have dinner and talk about his day.
But 6 o'clock came, then 7 oclock, then 8, 9, and 10
Finally he rolled in from the pub, wasted and covered in vomit, again.
Sera burst into tears.
She cry's "I'm sick of thiss!,
I'm leaving you and going back to my mothers."
With that she packed up stuff for her and the baby and stormed out the door, kicking her good for good for nothing husband that was passed out in the hall.............

Just goes to show how people can simply get hung up on completely the wrong thing.....
I though Sera was such an unusual name & then thought it was a reference to the aquatic food manufacturing company & was trying to find the link there......DOH!

***New fish***
I'm in time but not in a second,
Initially i'm average although not initially ordinary,
Contained in a nugget and also in a particle
Within intrinsic but not necessary
The capital of Albania
& it would be next to, what crocodile dundee would use to wash his backside...

Torbanite - well done so far...to get the species you need to talk to an Australian or watch the film. (or maybe think about the alternate name of an invention by a famous Thomas.....)

1) It's a kind of suicide, but without the shawl
2) Instead of the shawl, you're looking for something very tiny

The suicide will get you pretty far.
However, there's no need to kill yourself

For Marc (& others)
in time but not in a second - letters
t, or i or m but not e
initially average but not initially ordinary - the initial letter is
a, not o
contained in a nugget & also in a particle - letter
t or e
within intrinsic but not neccessary - letter
i , t , r,
capital of Albania - the letter
a
gives matia, iatia,
tatia, matia, maeia, iaeia, taeia, matta, iatta, tatta, matra, maera, iaera, taera, (i think) & only one of these is a genera.....

Hara kiri = suicide.
A Kiri is a kind of shawl (says Google)..
minuscula = rather small
