Did you really buy the last specimen(-s) from OF?
I ask this because in that case Alex doesn't have to look for me anymore.

Yes, it was the last one for sure. No one left, sorry. Beside me only some dutch bought Ageneiosus at OF, at least Olli said so. If you find someone still offering some, I´d take some as well I think (if not too far away). You could ask Olli, if he is able to puchase any, he will do so.

Guess who :d

No worries, I'll take my (probably last) chance via my LFS.

first time I got there I brought 2 fish I'd labelled as "Triportheus ageneiosus" for a certain fella, just to confuse 'im

We'll take a good look at their fins next time I'll hit the road to Eindhoven

Afaics it seems one of the 2 smaller ones is a male. The beginning of the anal fin starts to thicken.

I started off with 2 females (via Alex) and added 2 youngsters later on. One of those 2 seems to be a male specimen.
Still, lucky indeed.

Hi,

just a little update: They are still fine, and eating frozen food and flakes now. From time to time they get tetras.

Does somebody know about the growth rate?
@Richard: How long did they need from 5cm to 13?

I could reply for Richard, as he bought them about a month before I bought mine, so it must have taken them about 8 months.
Mind you, Richard is refering to a different species imo. Our atronasus grow much more slowly and - if books are correct - shouldn't exceed 12 cms.

Hi Daniel,

I'm glad your fish have settled nicely.

Marc you just beat me to it :))

8 months... doesn't time fly! Yes I have a different species and the largest specimen is now a good 15cm. Still quite slim fish though.
