i saw a Upside down catfish in my LFS the other day. Its not a syno nigriventis. It was about 8" and wsa listed as a Upside down synodontis. It was all black and looks similiar to a Mystus Leucophasis. Does anyone have any ideas as to what it might be.

many "leucophasis" lack the white spots and are just jet black.

There's only 1 Syno with truly long whiskers (pictus style), that's S alberti; a light colored spotted fish with very big eyes.
rare in the trade as well, for reasons unknown to me.
