This only happends with my L260 and maybe two or three times a year, I treated against bacterial infections but it allways comes back. Only one at the time and after 1-2 weeks it disappear and the tail grows out again and the body will be recovered.
It comes very quickly over 1 or 2 days and it's start healing directly after medication.
I dont know how to get rid of it, anyone that could give some advice?

How is your tank maintenance? How often do you clean your tanks? What are the other tank inhabitants?

I dont think it has something with my water or cleaning, I change 20-30% water in all my 40 tanks every second day and clean them twice a week and this only happends to my L260 and they are nine in a 55 gallon tank and no other fishes. I have had this sicknes since I bought them for over two years ago.
This picture is taken only 2 days after medication and he is starting to recover, but I know I will have it back again in 2-3 month. The cycle is very fast...it goes on a day and if I dont treat them against bacterial they will die after 2-3 weeks.

If you compare to this picture I took the same day I start the medication...it's hard to belive it's the same fish only two days between the picture.

What is the pH of your water? This may be due to your water having too high a pH for the fish.

My water parameters is pH 6,8 kH 1,0...They breed regulary in the tank and I dont have any other problems with them except this.
I bought 14 of them for two years ago directly from brasil and I had problem with a few that died the first month in some sort of virus infection...bulbs on the pectoralfin. I separated them from each other and I thought I had get rid of the problem but instead I get this sort of disease instead. They have allways being isolated in they own tank, never being exposed of other fishes and water, I have raised over 30 fry and they have not get this disease...it's easy to cure this but I cant get rid of the problem because it allways comes back after a couple of month.
One more thing...it's never more then one of my nine adult L260 that have this disease in the same time but it's not the same L260 all the times.
I have very good control of my water and I know it's not the problem, I'm more afraid that it's this old virus infektion...I have keept fishes over 30 year and have had lots of different diseases over this year but never seeing this kind of disease.
Is't any one that have seen this before or have some sort of experience to cure that?
