Well I had placed an order with my lfs for C. Arcuatus and of course they didn't come in, so since I had store credit I just had to come home with something. This little guy was in among all the commons and he very well may be a common too, but his markings were different, at first I though oh maybe a gibby, but the pattern doesn't seem quite right, then I thought well maybe a Trinadad and no that doesn't seem right either. So any help would be greatly appreciated so I know in which tank to put him.

Someone on another forum made mention that it's a Snow King, is this possible?

Had been explained to me that a common and a snow king are the basically the same fish just the snow king has more white in it's patterning.

Can someone please shed some light on this for me.

That is essentially the case, but with juvenile fish, it is not easy to tell them apart. I strongly suspect your fish will not grow up to be a snow king.

Furthermore, snow kings are not as commonly encountered in the trade as commons.
