I have 1 Bristlenose that has white colors on the gills on the sides of its head. They look like white worms sticking out. He is eating and acting normal. Just noticed this a couple of days ago. I have had this fish for 3 months, he was quarenteened 3weeks prior to adding to main tank. no symptons at that time.
The tank he was in was well maintained and water parameters were never a question.
Water conditioner Prime.
Tank size 40 gallon tall
lighting 140 watts.
Planted.
Filter 2 each AquaClear 50's
Tank has been set up 1 year.
Water changes 40% every 7 days.
Water parameter:
Nitrites: 0ppm
Ammonia 0ppm
Nitrates 5ppm
pH: 6.8
KH 5deg.
Temp. 78
Additives to water have been:
Flourish:
Excel
Nitrogen
Trace
Comprehensive plant supplement
Plantabs
CO2 via sugar yeast.
Other tank mates
5 Zebra loaches
1 clown pleco
3 Danios
2 platy
1 Oto
Food, squash, sweet potatoes, frozen blood worms, assorted flake food.
I moved him to the Qtank. Need to know what it could be and what meds to use and if other tank mates that he was in with should be treated.
Here are some pictures.

As always thanks for your time.
