I have an 85 gallon wet dry sump that goes underneath a 360 I just got for my 20" Shovelnose and a similar size Softshell Turtle, as well as a few largish cichlids. So far these two have been raised on cichlid sticks, and it has cost the Tiger its coloration, having gone xanthochromic without a more balanced diet (I believe)
SO, what I would like to know is how best to utilize a wet/dry system to clean up after some messy goldfish gulping waste producers. Appreciate any tips, Im not too hip to Wet/Dry filtration techniques just yet.

I just needed to go look at some running setups. Are there any reasons not to use quarantined, clean feeder goldfish in a tank like this?

Isn't that somewhat of an oxymoron? There is no such thing as a clean freshwater feeder fish. Particularly goldfish!

They will ALL harbor some form or parasite or disease. Even if you wanted to NUKE them with anti-parasitic treatments during quarantine, I wouldn't trust them.

You may want to try cut-fish and shellfish (marine) instead. Whole prawns and shelled mussels are a favorite among my predatory* cats. (*= though mine are limited to driftwood cats and the like)
