I'll post some more pics of the cat when she gets back, she will be gone this weekend, so it will probably be monday before I can post anymore.

Based on the two pics I don't think it's a Leporacanthicus either - it doesn't seem to have the "tusken" (the small horn on top of the head). I have a small L091 (2"), and it already has prominent head 'gear', so to speak 
My guess would be a Hypancistrus as well...
