I am looking for information on breeding L114 and Lda63.
Yes I know Lda63 or Panaques have not been bred much or at all and L114 have. Ok I am in Australia and with the cost of plecos here(Lda63 $700.-.L114 $600) it is worth the time and effort, they will be bred out doors in summer when I breed my other plecos,L001,snow kings,gibbys and golds or albino.
For the Lda63s I have the idea of bulding an artifical creek so what water conditions are in there natural creeks ei. how deep, how clear,lots of timber??,ph, temp, hardnes, flow rate,do they spawn in the open or in a cave or in a hollow log or dig like other plecos.
Information would be good for the L114s as well-
better still personal experance with breeding, colecting(lucky buggar) so on.

PS. We do have them here but they come in illigaly, hence the high price. silly part once they are here they are not illigal to keep or breed, go figure??

grumpyold, maybe you've taken precautions, but i feel that breeding plecos outdoors is EXTREMELY RECKLESS in australia, or any other non native country where they will survive.

you have those laws preventing import of many tropical fish in your country for a VERY GOOD REASON.

please don't be motivated by money to destroy your native species. you must know what damage cane toads and cats have caused in australia.
