Hello everybody. I think I've made a mess

I have already brought my otocinclus home and I have no vegitation in the tank. Where do I start, and what kinds of plants am I looking for? Also I need to make sure that I'm feeding my pimebodus pictus right, and he seems agitated. Any hep would be great. Thanks So Much.

You can try zucchini or algae wafers for the oto. As for the pictus, it's probably agitated because it's a species that feels more comfortable in a group.

As for vegetation, what kind of lighting arrangement do you have? Probably the best bet for a hardy plant that grows well in low-medium light is a java fern (microsorum pteropus), they propagate themselves and the new little 'plantlets' can be plucked and replanted, I'd also suggest the similarly named but completely different java moss (vesicularia dubyana), but it needs pretty good light to grow well.
By 'pretty good' I mean fluorescent light of at least 2-3 watts/gallon.
Good luck with your new guys! Mine definitely like sitting right in the filter outflow on the closest available leaf, in both tanks I have them in.
