The link in the PC Announcements this month to the photos of Mark Smith might be a mistake. They introduced me to Bagrus meridionalis, a most perfect of catfish. The kitten shots are simply too much. I now want one of those, too ;)

As I suspect is the case with many serious catkeepers, I find ti difficult to resist the Red Tail Catfish. A 2 to 3 foot Red Tail Cat is my idea of a perfect housemate, but it would probably outlive me. Besides, my back is showing signs of not wanting much heavy work in the future.

Suffice it to say that a lot of large catfish are terribly appealing. Perhaps if there were good poster-sized pix of these fish available fewer ppl would get impulsive and take on huge fish? maybe not, but *I* would love big posters of some of the tankbusters.

It would be too expensive to keep a stock on hand; besides the public is fickle. Perhaps PC could make an arrangement with the copywright holders of some of the "poster childern" to furnish high quality large prints on an as-ordered basis and split the profit with PC?

I think you may be onto something there, Troi. The most appropriate way for a hobbyist like me to "house" a lovely creature such as a South American Red Tail is in a poster on my wall. I've seen beautiful posters that feature "The Fish Of Florida". Is there anything like that for catfish?

i see shots of the RTC in motion that really show off the fish and are satisfying to view, but I don't see any poster sized. Same is true of some of the other big fish. The Cat-eloge has a head shot showing the sloppy, floppy mouth of hte Mother of Snails which I am sure was once part of a delightful video clip posted in her "bio."

I would love to be able to pay something like $20 and getone of the really wonderful PC fihs shots. Problem with the MoS video is that the fish was so darn cute I decided one day to own one of those "puppies."

or maybe run a special each couple of months where maybe three big catfish posters are offered?

I stumbled onto this web site. Maybe if you put in a request, they'll find a "Giants Of The Amazon" or a "Giants Of The Mekong" poster for you. I wouldn't mind the "C******s of Madagascar" poster. There is worldwide shipping available.

I would also love to just have some of the less dramatic PC photos while still respecting the photographer's work and the PC workload. Maybe an automated system where one could order a certain size of a PC photo(11x14/)or the right to download it. At the moment I covet:
