My digital pics of my plecos are always out of focus, HELP!

I keep trying to take digital pics of my two plecs, L066 and L200, in my tank but the pics are always out of focus.

I use a Minolta Dimage digital camera with 4x mega pixel, 3x optical. I try with flash, no flash, day, night, but nothing seems to work. My tank glass is clean. I think it is the water factor, but how do I get around that? How do people take the nice pics posted on this site?

Any help is appreciated.

Your pictures are most likely out of focus because you have not set your camera to macro mode (if it has one). Check if your camera has a macro mode (usually denoted by a flower), as the regular setting on a point-and-shoot digicam has a much greater minimum focusing distance (which would explain why your pics are out of focus).
