I have six juvinal petricola that I'm raising and I have a question about thier coloration. I've seen this in all juvlinal petricola. The parents of the fish I have are all grey with blacks spots. The julinals are almost all grey but they have patches of pink insted of grey. Now I've seen this in all pics of juvinals. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? And do they color up more as they get older.
Mine are about an inch and a half.

Hi JD,
I'm breeding the Petricolas, so I just went to take a look. I don't see any pink in the fry at all. I have 1" to 1-1/4" fry right now. I have some older 2" to 2-1/2" I'm growing for future breeding stock. I don't see any pink on them either. Can you post a few pics?

I don't have a camera but let me rephrase not realy pink but its a broken line in the grey coloring of the side of the fish. I'll try and find some pics and hyperlink it.

I found a pic of what I'm talking about but I can't hyperlink it. Its on page 2 of this forum a thread started by sidguppy spawning burundi petricola. On page to of that thread 2nd pic from the top. Thier is a pic of a youngster with a colorless patch behind its dorsal fin from the back to the belly of the fish in between the spots looks kinda white. I'm just wondering if they color up more than that.
