L 68 is under Lasiancistrus in the Cat-eLog. DATZ says Bariancistrus and the fish certainly looks more like that genus.

DATZ says "possibly Baryancistrus"! I think Ancistrinae sp. (although that's no longer a valid home either) might be a better idea. It is probably = L143 and that, apparently, is a Lasiancistrus at least sensu lato.

Anyone else care to correct, advise or sympathise?

Yeah, I saw that Jon placed ancistrinae within the hypostominae. Otherwise, I certainly agree it would be a better place.

After some of the usual detective work you have to do when dealing with "messy" l-numbers, I've renamed the fish currently featured as L068/L143 as L143, and created a new, seperate entry for L068 as "ancistini sp(l068)" until we find out what L068 actually is. That will need more imports of it. Something that appears not to have happened since 1990!
