Dug through a shipment of "punto diamante" at the local exporter last week and found a gem. Bogota exporters call every black fish with white spots "diamond spot" so these shipments can have some gems hidden in them.

Thanks Kev,
He/she was the only one with really big spots in the shipment and I have taken a shine to the fish as it is always out and about while the rest are hiding.
Deepfriedictalurus,
I have my ideas of what they are, but would certainly listen to the thoughts/ideas of others. I also wanted to get two extreme variation photos from within the same population to illustrate how different two members of the same species can actually look.

HI,
population to illustrate how different two members of the same species can actually look.
Are they Hypancistrus inspector..?? ... because it's common nowdays to see the big spot pattern in the fish's list in aquariums of México.
