venting plecos

For future pleco projects, I would like to know if venting plecos is as easy as african cichlids. I know venting is the only sure way of sexing an immature fish, or even mature ones. So any help would be appreciated. Pictures of males and females would also be helpful so I can see the differences.

I think the pressure required would break their armor scutes before you would make any reproductive organs more visible. Most ple-cos have much easier to identify dimorphism, but of course that usually requires an adult.
Just search around the forums, e-log & google or whatnot, and I'm sure you'll find the techniques to sex most any particular type or species..

Yeah, they are more difficult. I think when I purchase plecos in the future, I need to look more closely at them.
