Food stuck in my Pleco's nostril

I have a 9" common pleco that has a piece of goldfish food stuck in its right nostril. The food looks like a miniature Hikari algae wafer, about 2 mm in circumference. I like to pour the food in over top of the pleco because it is funny how he shakes the food off. The other pleco doesnt mind this at all. What should I do? Will it dissolve?

Thanks

Aside from "Learning from this experience", I suggest you leave it for a bit, and if it doesn't shift, catch the fish and remove it by hand...

I don't think pouring food on top of the fish is a particularly good idea, even if you find it amusing. How would you like having your breakfast cereals poured over you for someone elses amusement?

Oh come on, its nothing that bad  . I've seen them accidentally eat large disgusting pieces of goldfish poop. Made me want to gag. A little bio-blend mini-pellets wont hurt them.
I may have to "fish" it out somehow. Any suggestions?

Hold him with a wet papertowel and try to remove the food with a pair of blunt-end finger forceps (tweezers).

Catfishgirl- Thank you for the advice, but he has a fierce temper and would never let me do it. I think that the food will disintegrate eventually. I certainly don't think it will kill him.
Cheers
