Saw this -- "Burmese Mini Catfish - Ereithes Conta" on a Singapore list. Any idea what it could be?
My best guess is Erethistes maesotensis.

Should be. Though it should be Hara maesotensis.

Thanks.
And no Conta conta from Myanmar, right?

I've never seen any. What Vinciguerra reported as Erethistes conta is in fact Hara filamentosa.

The list notes the length as 1". What do you think would be more likely for a 1" "Burmese mini-catfish": Hara filamentosa or Hara maesotensis?

The latter. They don't seem to get any bigger than 1.5" SL.

Last year at a CSG auction there were some really small erethistini that were put through as H minuscula. I had a few bags, and at first glance they looked like H jerdoni, as my eyesight is now not as a good as it was, I had a chat with 'The dark one'.
Where, we both agreed that they were E minuscula, although they were tiny and somewhat overly thin. After a week of TLC they were quite clearly H minuscula even to my worsening eyesight. These now are doing really nicely and I am hoping to spawn these again next year.
So it may well be that from time to time, small young rather emaciated erethistini enter the trade under a variety of names simply because the exporter may have unintentionally erred with their identity.
