I just mostly wanted to share. I was wondering with the mouth this cat has does it have a specialized diet? Sorry about the watermarks. I'll give the pics to you later for the cat-e-log. The skull structure appears as though it is just meant for a jaw muscle. But the hairy jaw seems less preditor like.
There I fixed the pics.

I cannot see the pic (and I don't want to register just to see the pic), but I presume you are referring to
?
It's just your standard predatory catfish diet-wise.

We have him in a 70g. Very lethargic. Even gill movement is minimul. Tank is very dim lit. Our farmer says he's a deeper water cat.... I'm debating on Temp that he should be kept at.

This is a Trachycorystes alright, although I dare not say which exact species. The elongated lower jaw gives it away.
This is a predator. At day it sits motionless and at night it is cruising the waters for prey. The hairlike teeth (or teethlike hairs) are perhaps to get a better grip on its prey. Not for biting though, because they are swallowers.
I think temperature range should lie between 23-27 degrees Centigrade. Great fish.
I'm not going to say again that I wish that someone in the Netherlands would import fish like this (Oops, I did it again....

)
