Hi All,

This coming Sunday, 20th November the Catfish Study Group will be holding its Autumn Auction at the Highfields Working Men's Club, Ratcliff Street, Darwen, Lanc's. http://www.catfishstudygroup.org/core/index.htm

This event is always well attended and there are sure to be many bargains to be had. The new venue is a lot larger and far more comfortable, Oh! and there's a bar for those that like to participate. If you would like to submit sale lots check the web site for details and contact the Auction Manager.

Hi folks
Just a few words about last Sundays auction.
As usual when going to a new venue for the first time no matter how well the venue looks and how well it meets the criteria, there are a few nerves going as you can't be sure of how well it will be received in the area or if people will be willing to attend a new venue having gotten used to the old School hall in Aspul which has been the home of the CSG for many a year. But there was no need to worry although there was one or two absenteesâ?? there were quite a few new faces also, and all the tables were occupied. The auction itself went well, as good quality fish ranging from Corydoras aeneus to a new Batasio species from Laos; were offered for sale. There were even some external filters that went quite cheaply. On a down note â?? I didnâ??t win a raffle prize againâ?
