Pleco ID. listed as Nana

This pleco i have never seen before and i been keeping fish for over 20 years.

This looks to be a mature fish....

As u can see this is a tiny fish only about 12-15mm and look's mature.

Any idea's plz?

HI!

These are coming from Peru as far as I know!
It seems to me that they should belong to Parotocinclus but still must be undescribed. they should reach 4-5cm

The Genus you are looking for is Nannoptopoma.

The fish pictured is believed to be an undescribed species from Peru.

Nice fish.

I guess the wholesales listed it as a Nanno species.

How ever the Nannoptopoma spectabilis showen in the pic resembels the Otto genus more than a plec, which mine looks more like.

Nannoptopoma looks to have no adipose fin where mine dose. Cant see to well but a pic above u can just see it.

I know very little about pleco's thus why i trying to add as much info as possabile.
I main passion is livebearers, but i love oddballs like this a close second.

@ Paul!

I have some doubt these might belong to Nannoptopoma as it has not adipose fin!

the fish pictured here by Helter clearly show on!!!

The science might probably described it as Parotocinclus until someone finally decided to clean the mess in that genus!!

I've seen one today. As u may guess u dont see them very much!!
