It does look like an L-129 but I have had a fullgrown one for several years and it's between 2-2.5" which I thought was a max size for this hypancistrus - I have neverheard of one over 3" and certainly not 4".
I also have not seen it eat veggies , as a matter of fact none of my hypancistrus seem to.
Is it possible that it's another species or maybe just a gigantic L-129?

The Cat-eLog
is listing it's size as 70mm (2.8"). Total length of such a fish would be close to 100mm (~4"), I would think...

Thanks for all the replies! Here's a little more info:
Sometimes my fish's underside is white with mottled brown marks (usually if I have to turn the light on at night). Most of the time it is mottled yellowish-brown. He is a very fat fish, but he eats surprisingly little. Also, I suspect that he eats wood because he bored a large hole in the driftwood that fits his head.

Is it possible that it's an
? I wouldn't have thought that the L204 has that large eyes, which is typical for Hypancistrus species... But eating wood is certainly not a Hypancistrus trait.
