I was looking around and came up to this picture of a pl*co from River Wonders: http://www.riverwonders.com/product_inf ... 6225614b9b

I would not buy from this place. From what i have heard they have a bad reputation. if you are thinking of breeding plecos, i would look at exoticfinds.net. They can sex plecos for you. Blue knows his stuff. As for the fish, i can not tell you. It sort of looks like a L015. But, i have never had experience with this one. It probably is a pulcher

Just my opinion but couldn't this fish be an L199? I've seen this species in a LFS here, named as hypancistrus pulcher...

Wim

just wondering... is this sort of thing allowed on the forum?...

I personally think it is better for the PC forum if people handle this kind of things via pm instead.

On some other forums you are not allowed to write such things about an LFS, at least not where the name of the LFS is given.

And I know another owner of an LFS who was forced to contact people responsible for a forum where certain people where spreading lies/badmouthing about his business.

I agree. Moreover, the accusation is hear-say and it's not the first time this member advises on that basis.

When I look at the photo, I get the impression of "hypancistrus"-esque. Looks to me like L-199.

Im with Siluris on this, looks like P. vittata but a very well coloured specimen. The only thing that could cause confusion would be the thickness of the orange stripes. On this fish they are somewhat thicker than A vittata, saying this though, i have seen larger striped colour forms.

Yep. This is a nice specimen as well. There are some in the catelog for these that are just as nice as this one. If i am correct, hasn't the vittata been called the pulcher on many oocasions.
