What do you think the lowest pH is that a fish can live in? 6? Maybe 5.5? What about 3? Yep, it's true. There is a fish that lives in water with a pH of 3. It is also the worlds smallest fish. You can read about it at

Both fish you mentioned Silurus are rather small is this that strange, acid environment what makes fish not too big?
