New Albino Cory in Quarantine.....few questions

I'm very glad that I found this site! I am brand new to Cories and a bit clueless as yet.
I have learned a few things since yesterday and I plan to learn a lot more here.
I brought home a little tiny Albino Cory yesterday (I thought he was a Pleco!). He is in quarantine at the moment in a two gallon tank (not ideal I know). His main home will be with 2 Fancy goldfish in a 20 gallon (for and against this too I know). I am upgrading tanks soon and will get him a few buddies as I now know they are schooling fish.
My immediate question is:
How do I treat him while he is quarantine? I know that they cannot take salt but how do I ensure that he is rid of any potential parasites and bacteria before I add him to the main tank? I am only used to dealing with Goldfish and Apple Snails. Is there special medication that I can dose him with? I won't be happy risking my GF unless I'm sure he's clear.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions/advice.
