Syno Golden river sex

My syno golden river whami ( refugensis) is 8.5 inches and looking pretty fat. The other 2 are getting beat up a bit, frayed fins and are around 6 inches. Are the females supposed to be largeer or smaller in this species? Can you sex it by the photos as i am half blind and not very good at it except with multies. Can't see a paplla on any of them.
