Barbatus Fertilisation Behaviour

Watching my barbatus spawning 2 nights ago, I noted the male shimmying directly over the eggs deposited on the aquarium glass. This followed the more usual T-position fertilisation with associated sperm transfer - via female gut I assume.

I hadn't witnessed this more conventional (for other species)'belt & braces' fertilisation before and was wondering if this was a common occurrence for other cory species? I assume the male is making double sure he's the daddy!

I will try next time to get some pics or video.

I have witnessed this behaviour with an elegans type many years ago where there no T formation took place at all.
