Hi all. I just have a quick question regarding synodontis nigrita: How long does it normally take for them to reach adult size (6.8")? I've been keeping one of them for about a year now. Though I can tell that the fish has grown, it's still just alittle over 3 inches. thanks.
ps: they're one of my favorite catfish (besides microlangis iheringi!)

I have had mine for the same amount of time and too appears to be a slow grower, just a little over 3 inches. I would not worry too much about its growth rate as long as it is in good health and eating well.

Are you guys sure that you don't have S. Robbianus instead of Nigrita. They appear very similar to me but in the cat e-log the max size of the former is much smaller.

Or maybe it was at scotcat that I saw the different sizing after seeing the cat e-log has no info...
