does anyone have any info regarding spawning s. multipunctatus as other than a cukoo spawner? i have 7 fish, all about 5.5 inches long in a 72 gal tank. occasionally, i will observe all of the fish clustering together, milling about each other,it will go on for a couple of hours, and then they all head back to their respective caves. i'm wondering if this could be an attempt at spawning 9without the presence of a pair of spawning cichlids.) i've noticed this type of behavior in my petricolas', the difference being that the petricolas go on to spawn (although i've never wintessed it.) and their eggs go on to hatch. both tanks are maintaines @ 80 F. ph is around 7.00, they both get a mixture of flake, frozen, and occasioally live food. thanks for any info

Hello & welcome to PC.
You might want to read the Catfish of the Month article on Synodontis multipunctatus (July 2002).
The CotM button sits in the toolbar between Home and Cat-eLog.
