One of my Pimelodus pictus will grab a mouthful of gravel in an attempt to get food.
It seems like it's getting it's ideas after seeing the Satanoperca jurupari "eat earth"...

Sounds like the P.clarias & P.blochii I used to have..
Wouldn't surprise me a bit if one of the little guys would get that eager!

Mine are happy to school with a group of yoyo loaches, they all have almost identicle tail markings and body spots/stripes. they are even happy to socialise and 'play' together as botia do. Its odd to watch two species from different continents getting along so well together.

Thats what I love about fish. It don't matter if one fish comes from uptown or downtown. If they school they ALL school. Our society could learn from them.
