My Royal Farlowella passed away

I came home from work and found my royal farlowella dead and being eaten by the other plecs. He looked normal, but pale when I took him out. Ammonia-0, nitrite-0, nitrate-10, ph-7.0, temp.-80F. What did I do wrong this time?

Not easy to say. How long did you have it?
They are rather hard to feed, from what I understand, so maybe starvation - either on your part or previous owner(s) in the chain of LFS, wholesaler, importer and exporter may be at fault. But that's nor for sure. Without evidence in any particular direction, it's very hard to say what caused a fish's death - except some of the time when the signs are very obvious...
