Crappy Eheim/Jager heater

Just had to send this email on the 7th March.....

I bought a new Jager 100w heater last week for my cory tank. In this tank there are (were) 11 very nice and uncommon gold laser corydoras.

When I got home from work today, I found the heater (which had been calibrated at 24.5°C with a digital thermometer from my other tank) was actually heating the water to 35.5°C needless to say, the corys were looking a little sick. All but two of them is dead due to the exessive heat in the tank.

Could you please advise me of where I stand as far as compensation goes, as replacement fish could cost me a great deal of money and I am a little annoyed that this has happened...

Could you either call me on 447918 123456 or reply to this email and let me know what Eheim can do about the situation.

Regards

Paul Fox

Needless to say, Cornelia got a reply straight away

My reply was along the lines of thanks, 'the LFS will replace the heater free of charge and I won't have pay to post it to Germany, but what about the retail amount of fish that died?

I have still had no reply.

Any one else ever had good service from eheim? :?
