Good points and you've done well to put them in the right thread. I note Birger's been doing some edits on the glossary...

A couple more from here http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/view ... 92#p288093
Xylophagy : Xylophagy is a term used in ecology to describe the habits of an herbivorous animal whose diet consists primarily (often solely) of wood.
Coprophagy : Coprophagy refers to many kinds of feces eating, including eating feces of other species (heterospecifics), of other individuals (allocoprophagy), or its own (autocoprophagy) – those once deposited or taken directly from the anus.
Both definitions taken from Wikipedia.

Customer:Not much of a cheese shop really, is it?
Shopkeeper:Finest in the district, sir.
Customer:And what leads you to that conclusion?
Shopkeeper:Well, it's so clean.
Customer:It's certainly uncontaminated by cheese.

Re: Glossary questions and requests
On the subject of dietary habits, I see that oophagy (the eating of eggs, usually (but not necessarily) as a major portion of an animal's diet) is not in the glossary either...
This term has been brought up previously:
http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/view ... gy#p232691
http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/view ... gy#p280709
EDIT: Oops, duh, these are just a few inches up on the page - no real need for links. It was so long ago since these were entered that I just used the forum search to find them (rather than just scrolling upward), and I wrongly assumed that they were on a different page of this thread.
