Are there any commercially available spawning mops available for cory breeding. Alternatively, how would you suggest to make them and from what. Thanks in advance

Here's a link explaining how to make them. Easy!

Thanks ... I saw a post where coryman explained it. But without pictures, it was a little hard to follow. It's sort of how I had imagined it.

It's easy and cheap. DIY all the way. use up the yarn and sell the remainder mops on Aquabid.com

Time is money. Good mops at a fair price.

I have made the mops and boiled them for a good while, there seems to be a little leaching of colour into the tank, I havent put any fish in yet but i dont know whether i should drain the tank and re boil the mops, any suggestions?

I have keped Killies for many years as well as Corys and have never boiled a mop before use. It has never been a problem and nothing visable has ever leached into a tank. I do use inexpensive acrylic yarn.

I beleive the color is inbeded in the yarn it'self if your boiling it it might just be breaking down. I've never had problems with yard bleeding. or any harmful results come from using yarn without preperation.
