My country, at last year time imports more than 10 "Panaque sp".
All is the very big fish.
I hear the merchant to say, the Peruvian fishermen thought L90 is the
"Panaque sp" juvenile fish, but friend of mine, has raised L90 to more
than 30 centimeters, is not the "Panaque sp" juvenile fish.
At present his juvenile fish or riddle.
I hoped very much some people may tell me, its authenticity.

Hi!
The pictures of this huge Panaque reminds me of a picture I have seen in one web page where Nelson presented his work on Panaque. It was something related to the teeth of Panaque, but I don't know if any information regarding the catching place of this species was given!
Cheers

Hi!
I doubt these 2 species are related, except that both of them seem to belong to the genus Panaque.
THe difference between these 2 can be pretty well seen in their body shape.
The first one have a more compress and higher body than the first one
Secondly the first one has yellow margin on the dorsal and caudal fins.
The second one has a sort of lyra tail which seem not being the case with the first one.
The first one seems to have some small black lines/spots on his body.
These are clearly seperated species
Cheers

Hi
Possible my pleco to look are not many.
I have not certainly looked at this fish's import, but I have looked at it in the Japanese magazine.
http://www.planetcatfish.com/ilibrary/l ... /803_f.htm
I know they seemingly different difference.
You may see in this picture the fish is grown-up. Again changes very is possibly small.
I suspected they are similar, actually is not the identical fish.

L90 is "" Panaque sp "" which I inquired, that is a great bold hypothesis, but in fact, this is waits for business true, the confirmation view.
