Bumblebee with cloudy eye

I read in the cotm article on the bumblebee catfish that its eyes should be dull, but never cloudy. Well, I'm looking at a bumblebee with one cloudy, slightly bulging eye. Beyond that one eye, the fish appears to be in good condition. How should I treat the eye? Is it treatable?

The fish's in a well kept, fully-cycled tank, so I'm not sure as to what could damage the eye. The tank was treated for ich a while back. Could the eye be a result of the ich med? Thanks.

Cloudy eyes in fish can result from chemical and mechanical injury, among other causes. However, fish have a remarkable ability to recover from eye injuries, given good general care. Several fish that I'd given up for blind turned out to stage a full recovery.

Just give the fish good water conditions and keep stress to a minimum. It should do fine.

Thanks! Hopefully he'll pull through.
