Hello!
Which size have the largest S. robertsi, you have ever seen?
My largest one has 7 cm.
The data in books are very different... between 7,5 and 16 cm.
Thank you!

Some of the pictures in books are wrong; the fish shown in Axelrod's Atlas is actually
.

I know...
The fish in "An atlas of freshwater and marine catfishes." is not S. robertsi, too. I think it´s a S. camelopardalis.
But "David Sands", "Mergus" and "Das GroÃ?e Buch der Welse" shows real S. robertsi, for example.
Correct now - my largest one have 9,3 cm.

David Sands I know is right. I have never been able to get hold of a true robertsi. One time they turned out to be soloni; another time koensis (I think). Eventually I gave up.
