Congratulations and an Invitation

On behalf of the Potomac Valley Aquarium Society I wanted to congratulate CSG's committee and membership on the success of the 2006 Convention. We, along with Kingfish Services, were pleased to sponsor Dr. Stan Weitzman and Marilyn Weitzman's trip to the convention. Stan, Marilyn and Lee Finley all were gratified by CSG's hospitality across the pond and had a wonderful time visiting with you. Hats off to all on a great convention!
In 2004 PVAS hosted the All-Aquarium Catfish Convention. Hopefully you've heard from the CSG members in attendance of that convention, the Dignalls and Mssrs Fuller and Pritchard, about the fun we had on a weekend dedicated to the aquarium catfish hobby. This year, on 20-22 October, we are hosting a second edition which promises to be another great weekend with friends from around the world. We have committed a top-notch lineup of speakers on aquarium catfish topics, rivaled only by the '06 CSG convention and the '04 PVAS convention. Please see http://www.catfish2006.com for information about this year's event.
In hopes of attracting as many UK/Europe CSG members to our convention in October and recognizing the extra challenge in international travel, we wanted to extend a special invitation. PVAS will ensure that travel from the regional airports in the Washington, DC Metro area to the convention hotel and back is covered for CSG members travelling from Europe. We hope that CSG members will discuss their travel plans with each other so that we can accomodate as many conventioneers as possible. The closest airport to the convention hotel is Baltimore/Washington International. Most trans-Atlantic flights, however, arrive and depart from Washington Dulles International, which is a bit more than an hour from the hotel, traffic allowing.
If you are already planning on coming to the convention this year, please try to find like-minded compatriots so that we can help ease the cost and effort of travel by giving you all rides from the airport. If you haven't considered coming to the convention this year, we hope you'll give it another thought. We're going to have a great time and look forward to entertaining everyone who is able to come.
Sincerely,
Andrew Blumhagen, Chairman
