Hi, I live in Massachusetts and the channel catfish, Ictalurus punctatus, is native to my state. On the Cat-E-log, it says that it is native to southern and western United states. I am in the Northeast.

When searching for Ameiurus nebulosus, the first link doesn't work.

I have no idea if you're right or wrong - however, Channel Cat is one of those that are frequently "transplanted" into areas where it is not native - not just in the US either...

Just because it can be caught in an area, doesn't mean that it's native. There's no Liposarcus pardalis natively in Texas, but there are escaped/released "exotics" that can be caught there.

Do you have any reliable source that say that these are actually NATIVE in Massachusets.

If we don't come up with some supporting evidence for "native", I'd suggest we can make a note like "This fish has also been caught in Massachusetts".
