Dekeyseria brachyura L168 & L052

I have a small Dekeyseria sp. I purchased under the name "Clown Peckoltia" I am unsure whether its L168 or L052, and I have seen identical fish identified as both by hobbyists over here...I will try and post some photos.
I have a question about diet. The CatELog says "An algae eater that will require a constant vegetable foods along with the usual pleco fare" for Dekeyseria brachyura. I was wondering how they would get a hold of algae in the Rio Negro, as I though plants wouldn't grow in the very acidic water?
L052 says "Tablet food, vegetarian wood and insect larvae"
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Shaun

I've had a L052 for 4 years or so now. Algae on the glass doesn't seem to really interest her. I feed her with zucchini and yellow squash; she regularly gets wafers also - her favorites seem to be the ones from Tetra and Wardley. And she has plenty of driftwood, of course...
Hope this helps...
