Been a while since anyone has touched this thread.

Currently I have and .

The perugiae spawned twice in the last month; I moved the eggs to a 10 gal with a bunch of cory eggs and little cory fry, but I never saw any oil cats hatch. Next time I have to go back to my old habit of hatching eggs in a dedicated egg tank. To this day, I believe all my orca are females, so I need to source a male.

Anybody else want to report?

Cheers, Eric

My Tatia strigata seem to be going strong. 4 spawns in the last month! Centromochlus perugiae also keep on producing. Hopefully the rest of the woodcats get with it!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dZtZ2Plbl8

Hi Jeremy,

I see you're bringing some to Catfish Cataclysm. Those will be a choice catch for someone... who knows? Maybe me. ;-)

It has been a while since a picture has been posted here.
Let's bring a little life back in this old topic.

I bought 5 Tatia gyrina. 2 males and 3 females.

@kruseman, how are your T. gyrina doing? Any spawning from them?

It turns out your finder's luck was mine yesterday: I came upon a group of six Tatia at a LFS (I think they're ), three females, one male, and a couple of immature subadults. Had to get them all.

Now my list of currently kept auchenipterids is: Sadly I lost the .

Put these in a tank with dead leaves. That's some great camouflage... Not that the fish disappeared amonst the leaves, but the midlateral line, which looks so obvious in a bare tank, suddenly becomes the dark central petiole of a dead leaf. This fish is crafty! ^:)^

They're doing fine, but no spawning. I think I need to provide them with softer water probably.

Nice to see you have a group now. Good luck with them, they're the best!

It's been a while since I posted here, but today I received two pairs of , so I thought I'd update my list: On the T. exilis I got today, they are good sized, the largest about 6cm SL. One of the smaller fish was almost pure yellow in the shipping bag, while the other three were pigmented normally. I was disappointed to see the yellow fish had regained color (but still yellow in its base) only a few hours later. Oh well...

I never would have imagined I would be keeping so many. Such neat fish!

It might!

After being infected myself as well with Mycobacterium marinum ( aquariumgranuloma) I had to euthanise my Tatia gyrina.

Hello,

I thought that I would resurrect this topic as I am now keeping 3 sp.
1. . Breeding group, many spawns
2. New group 5 (2M, 3F)
3. New group (2M, 4F)

Any input on breeding the gyrina or T.exilis?

Thanks

I have almost resurrected this myself a few times. I am glad someone has finally done it.
I am currently keeping:
1. Tatia intermedia breeding group of 6 (1M 5F) + ~200 fry/juveniles
2. Tatia gyrina group of 6 (2M, 4F)
3. Tatia strigata New group 6-7 individuals sexes unknown in qt
4. Tatia aff. simplex group of 6 juveniles that haven't matured yet.
5. Tatia galaxias new group 6 individuals sexes unknown in qt
6. Duringlanis altae new group 4 individuals sexes unknown in qt
7. Duringlanis perugie new group 4 individuals sexes unknown in qt
8. Duringlanis romani new group 8 individuals sexes unknown in qt
9. Asterophysus batrachus 3 individuals (1M 2F)
10. Tympanopleura cryptica 4 individuals sexes unknown in qt
Note: Most of these species are in qt and have just been received and I have not had the time to sex all of them and even count some.
I really want to know what species people keep and breed. This is gonna be my favorite thread.
