I have two small columbian sharks in a 70 gallon tank with some fancy goldfish, african glass cat, two upside down cats, and a 4 inch crayfish. I know they grow big, but my aquarium book says 12 inches. It also says 70 gallons will be enough. How much salt do they need and what of these fish can tolerate slightly high salt amounts? Also, what other fish can go with em? I was thinking of getting some blood parrots (don't say anything about HYBRID and all that junk, I know) maybe some barbs, and more glass catfish (poor bruce is by himself at the moment).

Most people who I know keep columbian sharks keep them in a brackish water tank with brackish water fish which none of yours are. For a brackish water tank you actually mix ocean salt mix to freshwater to get your brackish water. Your hydrometer should read around 1.012. You can keep your cats in freshwater but it will greatly decrease their lifespan.

I think you should take a step back and come up with a game plan before changing your tank or adding any fish. Do you want brackish water fish or freshwater fish. Do you want tropical fish or cool water fish. You can have a community tank but all the fish should have similar care requirements of which your fish do not. Its hard to tell you what to add to that tank as not much in your tank should be kept together anyways.

Gotta decide what kind of set up you want based on the fish that you like best and remove the rest that don't fit in. Look at it this way. Now you have a reason to set up a couple more aquariums.
