Does any one have a suggestion for a good treatment for white spots on body which are very local only occuring on the supraoccipital process. Probably bacterial or fungus oriented.
Not spreading and not ich?

A photo would be very helpful. No sense medicating until we can id the ailment. Otherwise it could do more harm than good.

finally navigated the image thing and I hope these show up as bad as they are. This is it until I get time or money for a better shot or camera.

the white spot on just below the dorsal is on both sides of the fish. They have no real defined form. One of the spots is actually 2, a smaller on and a bigger one. I don't know if all this helps but I wont hold anyone accountable for suggestions.
I know treating these fish is tricky.

The picture links don't work. It appears that the album cannot be viewed by anyone else without logging in.
It would be easier to put the images in your album here, or to use imageshack.

A little, but they look more raised on the surface. The 'colony' has a rounder form and resembles a cotton-like tuft or puffball. I'll try to get another pic up.

Well I would like to thank all who offered help on this thread(and for those of you still checking) but I lost this fish during a power outage that lasted for 4 days!
I am very sad about it. The only thing I can share about this fish is that it was hardy, resourcful and somewhat curious, in its behavior. It didn't panic when I stuck it in a species container to take its pic, it just calmly went about it way looking for ways to get out. And it squeaked and grunted when I once had to disintangle it from a net I had mistakenly scooped it up in. Power outages suck.
