ok, i went mad. i ordered a large collection of plants and have just added them, and when the geos get bigger it wont work, but for the time being they seem happy



and then some dark/slightly out of focus geo "tapajos orange head" shots
once i upgrade the lighting it will allow me to get sharper images at these speeds. (also its in a corner tank, so the image is slightly distorted anyway)







and a single photo of my 6.5g SA tank, its a bit overstocked i know. but i plan to thin it out a bit soon.

no catfish as yet though. looking for a nice BN plec.

I find that my Satanoperca leucosticta aren't too bad on the plants - but if they decided to do some more "constructive" digging (nest-making or such), then I'm sure they'd ruin my plantings...

odd...I can spot at least 2 Corydoras paleatus in there.....don't tell me they don't count as the genuine article

btw IMO the big tank with the Geophagus is waaayyyyy too cramped with plants.
this is a fish that lives near rootwork and over sandy stretches. it's a nice planted tank, but only if you keep Apistogramma, Nannacara or Dicrossus or so. tiny SA cichlids that love to hide in dense growth.

those Eartheaters like to swim, to move around at groundlevel. they'll be much happier if you leave the big plants in, but remove all those small Crypto's and such.

fogot about the corys in the 6.5g. when i said no catfish i ment the 50g tank..

I know about the geos. their still small at the moment (about 2") and seem to be liking it currently. but i'm going to have to change the tank their in. (possibly a 6by2by2 with with satanoperca acuticeps when i builtd it and get the satanoperca)
