Breeding Information - Maximum species size for 500L

Hi all,
I'm about to proceed with a long term breeding project in my 500l tank (150 x 60 x 60cm).
I have not yet concluded the precise species, but I have a short list of candidates to choose from.
One aspect that concerns me is, to what max size (SL) do you think a breeding project would be viable.
Basically I'd like to have at least 6 individuals, but I'm currently concerned what the max size of each should be, given the available space. For example I obviously don't believe a big species like Scobinancistrus or Pseudacanthicus can be bred in 500l, but from 15 to 20 cm I really don't know where to stand. Maybe 4 individuals of 20cm is not too much...
Help from the breeding experts really is appreciatted. For example I noticed several people keep one of my candidates (L128 ~ 18cm) but I have no idea on what their tank sizes recommendations would be for 6 individuals.
(Surely not the 5000L the Berlin Zoo used...I hope)
Best Regards,
Francisco
