I just picked up my first L204 yesterday. It has been at the LFS for about 6 months now, and has grown quite well, lol. It is around 8-9cmSL. Just wondering what sex you think it is?


It doesn't have any plate odontodes, and its pectoral and interopercular odontodes are both pretty short, but may still be a bit young.

Hello Janne,
That was helpful to me also. Both sexes are are rather spiney but the dorsal view appeared female to me. I have 8 adults that I need to break down into smaller breeding groups. I'll have higher confidence in makng my selections now.
