I caught this remark in a thread, have they been reclassified?

Hi there
In brief there has been a revision of the lake tanganyikan synos - the commonly available petricola "dwarf" is now Lucipinnis. Petricola still exists but is more unusual in imports - see revised cat-e-log for images.
Other revisions exist but you can read these at your leisure using the link Birger posted but i kept this brief as you enquired about Petricola/Lucipinnis

So now I have to figure out which I have. I've had them a year and they are less than 4". This makes me think dwarf and Lucipinnis. But their fins are solid black with white edge all the way to the body color...no light patches.

both petricola & lucipinnis have white leading edges to the fins and can be pretty similar on occasions - a picture will help you get a positive id here from the forum
