The fourth (and last) stop on the trip was BAS in Bolton. I'd been looking forward to this one, because it was said to be huge. And indeed, it was. But for some reason I had expected something like Zajac in Duesburg(Germany): very modern, clean and well lit. Due to a lack of time we could only have a look at the fishes department. The tanks looked a bit sloppy imo, but the quality of the fishes was alright. The same goes for the number of catfishes available.
To name a few: Acrochordonichthys rugosus, Chac chaca, Cranoglanis henrici , several Corydoras and Loricariids species and Liosomadoras oncinus (alas, not for sale for they had just arrived). Little staff around. The amount of tanks in this shop is only equalled by wholesalers and I think that everyone interested in fishes should visit this place.
Mind you: getting off the parking lot may be difficult! You shouldn't be in a hurry (like we were).
