I'm just wondering if anyone can list a couple of books and magazines that zebra pleco have appeared in, be it a full write up, huge cover pic, or even a small article.
I heard that Practical fishkeeping has a couple, but i don't know which issues.
thanks

I know PFK had an article on H. zebra, I would say in 2005 or thereabouts. It had some nice pictures (including a front page), but not a whole lot of useful information otherwise. In my personal opinion, the info on this web-site is better (at least if you want to know about breeding them, rather than just generally reading someones experiences with these beautiful fish).

TFH also had a large article with plenty of photos in an issue from about ten years ago if you are collecting anything in print. It was along the lines of "Finally, Zebra Pleco Bred in Captivity" article

However, as Mat said, if you need more state of the art information about Zebra L46 it is already here on planetcatfish.

I only recently obtained five juveniles for the first time. It will be awhile before I even have a chance to be fortunate enough to be blessed with babies of my own.
One can hope. They are certainly a spectacular catfish.

There are several pages of info in Wels Atas 1, as well as a section on the Xingu.

Even more info in Wels Atlas 2, although only available in German.

its not about being relevant or current.
I know that more information can be found on the web.

my interest is simply for my library collection of this fish.
Its cool to see a picture of your favorite fish in a book or magazine, with a story about it, and seeing how the current infomation has changed.
Its simply about collection for the library.

Is that the same as Baensch Catfish Atlas, Volume 1?

Yes indeed it is.

No pictures i'm afraid. The section isn't about H. zebra, it is just mentioned in the chapter about Xingu habitats. The information about the Xingu is very good though, and gives you a very good picture of the river.
