Went to Germany today. Due to a lack of time we did just one shop instead of three. Because I neede flakes and AquaSafe we headed for Zajac.
Not many catfishes I liked, but loads of L-numbers and several Synos. I saw one large S. pleurops, one S. flavitaeniatus and plenty of Lake synos, among which several S. granulosus (200 pp; 3 for 500 euros).
Today I stuck to the food and the AquaSafe; next time we'll start off a bit earlier

500e for 3 is not a bad deal in my eyes - all I'd need would be a Tanganyikan tank to keep them in. :-) That said, I guess I'd rather spend the cash on filters right now.

Shame you didn't find any wood cats,

To me it wasn't any surprise for I never seen any on my visits overthere. But the place is huge, there are lots of things to be seen and they have an enormous amount of accessoires. And the prices of German products are very low. Example? One liter of TetraMin XL Flakes will cost around 18 euros in the Netherlands (average); at Zajac I paid 29 euros for ten liters. Need I say more

I need to go there soon; running out of some stuff as well.

yeah, it's definitely cheap; you can tank up for the miles you're going to make, buy the stuff you need and still make a profit, sort of, compared to when you would buy the same article here in NL without having to fill the tank.....

either way aquarium equipment and fishfood is dirtcheap over there or horrendously expensive over here, take your pick.

Just as both gentlemen above, I also get my fishfood at Zajac. I do loo kat the fish, but in general, they are not better then elsewhere, and more expensive.

Perhaps this is becose I know where most of their cich lids come from  , and I rather get them at the source

We visit the shop 2005. It was great to see this big petstore. You need two or three hours to see all.
At that time, they had no interesting fishs for me, but my girlfriend have found her dog...

We bought nothing and my car was blessedly to small for the dog...
